Fight Amongst the Beasts

It was announced today that Susan Sarandon (who is married to Tim Robbins, and not his mother)* has endorsed Hillary Rodham Clinton's opponent, Jonathan Tasinin, for her New York Senate seat this November. This is supposedly due to Mrs. Clinton's vote in support of the Iraq War, which both Sarandon and Tasinin oppose. While this is utterly hilarious, seeing two major Liberals at odds, and even though I know the answers, I just have to ask:

• Is Susan Sarandon even a citizen of New York? If not, why is she butting in and getting herself involved in New York state politics?
• Who cares in the slightest what this airhead thinks?
• Why does the media even give her the airtime to make this announcement?

Ms. Sarandon, stick to your chosen profession - making movies. Then again, what was the last movie you made a movie that people ACTUALLY saw? Bull Durham?
